Design Process

Design Your Own:

Our step by step design process makes it easy to create your very own bespoke gift.

Firstly decide which product design to go for (Original | Liberty Border | Twist | Print | Bunny | Pillowcase & Cushion Cover | Stocking | Scrunchie) then…

Follow the step by step ordering process to create your very own Ventresca Made item.

Here is an example of the process (please note these differ slightly depending on product. Do not hesitate to contact me if you would prefer to work together on a scheme or have any questions).

Step 1 – SIZE

Pick 1 of 5 blanket sizes ranging from newborn to adult throws.

Note – The Bunny Blankets, Scrunchies & Stockings are all one size.

Step 2 – BACK & BORDER FABRIC COLOUR

Choose your backing and border colour – the signature style of VM products is the two tone colour design. Every product consists of two colour options and this is your first, the border and backing colour for the blankets and for the bunnies – the head, ears and body.

Note – if you decide on one of the PRINT Blankets then this is the side that will have the printed pattern on.

Step 3 – FRONT FABRIC COLOUR

This is your second fabric colour and if you opt for personalisation, this is the side that will be personalised. This is the colour for the tummy of the Bunny Blanket.

Step 4 – PERSONALISATION 

Select whether you would like the personalisation to be done in embroidery or block print.

Then select the number of letters required as this determines the price.

Letter colour options – there are a pre- selection of popular colour schemes to choose from (view them here) or you can create your own colour scheme using the ‘custom’ option. Thread colours can be seen here.

All of these pre-selected personalisation options are done in the ‘Sweetpea’ font. Please contact me if you would like an alternative style.

Step 5 – NOTES TO MAKER 

Here is the section where you can tell me if you have any other preferences or things you would like to change. i.e. If you have selected ‘PINK FADE’ as an embroidery colour scheme but would like me to go from dark to light or vice versa. Or if you have chosen ‘RAINBOW’ but would prefer me not to use red, then tell me here.

Sizes

5 sizes offering something for everyone, each given an Italian name.

Piccola

This is our smallest blanket and is perfect for the newest of new arrivals.

Measuring 58cm x 40cm* this size makes the perfect gift for a newborn, as a comforter or practical blanket for a baby – you won’t know how you lived without it before!

It is the ideal size for a car seat, pram, bedside crib or moses basket.

Medio

The Medio is more like the size of a traditional baby blanket but can also be used as an older kid’s comforter, car seat or pushchair blanket.

This size is also popular for pets.

Measuring 60cm x 85cm* this size will see them through the first 12 months and beyond.

Grande

A hugely practical size for throwing over a buggy, daytime snoozes or for snuggling up under. It works for a baby and a child, flung over the back of an armchair for a modern interior look or as a stylish bed throw in a teens room.

This is our most popular size!

Measuring 140cm x 90cm* this size is suitable for all ages.

Quadro

Quadro means square in Italian and its shape inspired the name. Another practical size that will look great in any interior setting as a throw as well as a blanket for babies through to adult.

Wrap up your newborn or draped over a sofa this ‘squared’ version makes for a practical yet designer style.

Letto

These blankets are not just for babies and look amazing flung over the end of a king size or double bed. This size makes the perfect throw and with a multitude of colour combinations it’ll go with any interior colour scheme with or without personalisation.

Bunny Blanket

These special edition ‘Bunny Blanket’ make the perfect baby gift, comforter or lovey.

Made in the same two tone design as our Original Blankets, these special edition Bunny Blankets are simply gorgeous.

The adorable sleeping bunny face is embroidered by hand with beautiful silk thread with the inner ear made from stunning Liberty fabric and filled with amazingly soft ECO stuffing. They truly are a special keepsake.

Personalisation is available in all the original styles and colours and start at £7 for a letter and £10 for a name (up to 8 letters. More available please contact me)

Muslin Fabric Colours

12 fabric colours to choose from and with each product having the option of 2 different colours there is a combination for everyone.

Please note that whilst every effort is made to ensure colours are displayed accurately, sometimes due to screen functions differing on various devices, the colours of fabric in real life may be different to what it seen on screen.
